Job Summary

A great opportunity to take the next step in your career

Verification and benefit determination is a critical element of the AgriStability program. Eligible, participating producers respond to an enrolment notice and pay a fee to protect their income based on their operations reference margins.

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Verifier is a member of an operations team responsible for decisions and actions that support verification and yearly processing of approximately 2,500 applications. As the continued financial viability of farm operations may depend on AgriStability benefit payments, decisions can have serious implications for individual producers and the long-term viability of the provincial agricultural sector.

The Verifier works as part of an Operations team to facilitate the verification of producer applications for payment of AgriStability benefits. Verification involves a thorough review of tax returns and program application forms to verify that the revenue, expenses, inventory, receivables, and payables are accurate within program tolerances. Verifiers work closely with participants and regional staff to validate data and obtain information.
