MKB Rentals is a subsidiary of Mistras Group , managing the fleet and equipment needs of Mistras Canada divisions.

MKB Rentals is looking for a Fleet, Equipment and Logistics Supervisor to manage the fleet and equipment purchasing, rentals, maintenance needs and logistics needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain MKB fleet and equipment management including: purchasing, scheduling, tracking, maintenance and repairs, driver allocation, rentals and shipping
  • Maximize fleet and equipment utilization rates for each division
  • Audit vendors on a regular basis for potential cost savings, higher quality, timely service, etc.
  • Transition equipment from operating labs to MKB Rentals as per fixed asset listings within ERP systems and ensuring accurate bar coding, location and uploads.
  • Oversee/support inspections of all MKB rope equipment to maintain a zero balance in quarantine cage(s) on a weekly basis and maintain adequate rope equipment stock levels based on rental requirements (future Implementation).
  • Oversee/support inspections of all MKB NDE equipment for certification expiry, calibrations and repairs.
  • Responsible to ensure all equipment is managed, shipped, tracked, certified within Company systems.
  • Support the generation of processes, implement, and manage rental requests, shipping and receiving of all equipment to maintain an accurate tracking rental fleet/asset’s in and out of MKB.
  • Oversee/support when required for all daily receiving/shipping of vendors and courier items, all equipment and PPE to various locations as required.
  • Responsible to resolve all order discrepancies, track outstanding orders or overdue deliveries and return all incorrect or non-required items as well as any required warranty claims.
  • Strive for continuous improvement and implement changes and standardized processes for MKB and Operating Labs to support business and employee performance.
  • Supervise the Tool Crib Attendant in Edmonton shop

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites
  • Valid driver’s license – confidence in driving in all northern Alberta road conditions and weather
  • Current and valid safety certifications. CSO/BSO, CSTS-20
  • Physical capability of standing for extended periods of time as well as capable of lifting up to a total of 50lbs
  • First Aid ticket (would be an asset)
  • Petzl Rope Inspection Certificate (would be an asset)
  • Motivated self-starter
  • Ability to problem solve and work well under pressure and prioritize
  • Strong communication, organizational and computer skills
  • Safety awareness and strong safety culture mentorship
  • The ability to work in a team environment and independently, with little to no supervision

Physical Job Demand:

  • Ability to lift and carry 55 pounds
