You will partner with FPs to effectively steward client relationships, maximize contact, identify opportunities, and deliver an exceptional client experience. You provide support and enable FPs to deepen relationships with clients by being along the client’s path for key life events, through portfolio analysis, proactively identifying opportunities, sharing insights from client conversations, and supporting the implementation of client financial plans. You enable and educate clients by proactively leading with advice, serving through My Advisor and Digital and by leading as a Digital Ambassador who keeps current on technology by building your digital proficiency.This role may be located anywhere in Edmonton & surrounding area and may also be remote or hybrid.What will you do?
  • Support a high level of client contact, consistent support to client requests, act as a point of contact for client problems, and ensure accuracy of documentation with follow-ups, as required
  • Support Financial Planners with sales support activities, applying a continuous improvement approach to achieving a superior client experience
  • Leverage routines to ensure efficient and effective completion of administrative tasks, identifying areas for improvement of workflow efficiencies
  • Maximize opportunities to effectively identify client needs, make referrals, expand profitable client relationships, and track and review progress against the teams’ annual plan
  • Enable Financial Planners by assisting with preparations for client meetings, and supporting the fulfilment of credit, investments, and everyday banking solutions
  • Exercise due diligence in following all policies and procedures, and identity/correct areas of operational risk
What do you need to succeed?Must-have
  • Mutual Funds accreditation (e.g., Investment Funds in Canada, or the Canadian Securities Course)
  • Demonstrated success working in a fast paced environment with the ability to manage competing priorities, as well as multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
  • IT literacy including the Microsoft Office suite of products, and digital knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability interact with client and partners effectively in via webex, email, phone and in person
  • Flexibility, eagerness to learn, strong personal ethics, and a hunger for success
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, demonstrating strong collaboration skills
Nice-to-have
  • Track record in building rapport and maintaining client relationships within the financial industry
  • Previous experience in personal lending, investments and general banking are an asset
  • Experience using CMR, Casper, Sales Platform, RBC Investment System, CART and IRIS
