The location in Montreal, (Quebec, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of Financial Analyst, Sales and Logistics. This job is full-time permanent.

You will be responsible for the production of sales information for the Pulp and Paper Division, including product profitability analysis, as well as for continuous improvement of sales management reports and tools.

Your challenges and responsibilities:

As Financial Analyst, you will consolidate monthly pulp and paper financial reports and produce various reports on selling prices, distribution costs and profit margins by customer, market and mill. In particular, you will support the Senior Vice President of Sales, the Logistics Manager and their teams. You will also collaborate with the Sales and Logistics Department on the quarterly forecasting process and the annual budget. You will have the following responsibilities:

  • Generate monthly and quarterly reports and respond to ad hoc requests in your role as a business analyst.
  • Analyze and validate performance metrics and ensure all reports are accurate and complete.
  • Take part in the various budget and forecasting phases and analyze the Sales group’s results.
  • Analyze variances in volumes, selling prices and distribution costs.
  • Analyze transportation costs and rates as well as maintain the prepaid transportation expense report.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to improve the various data-consolidation processes and results.

Your team:

Reporting to the Financial System Manager assigned to the Pulp and Paper Division, you will work closely on financial controls and analysis of the division’s sales and logistics results.


Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience as a financial analyst.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing sector.

Your skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and strong technical skills.
  • Solid knowledge of PowerPoint and database management.
  • Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, in English and French with all levels of the organization.
  • Rigorous, organized and detail-oriented approach.
  • Relevant experience with integrated systems.
