Job DescriptionPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare analysis of the financial Statements for business units.
- produce reports as needed for multiple rollups within the business units to support analysis across actual, forecasted, and plan results
- assist in solving balance sheet and allocation issues
- statutory requirements that include but not limited to Census surveys and coordinating with the NOV tax department for local/provincial and federal tax related issues
- reports needed to assist local tax in the completion of the annual tax return
- providing annual corporate files – Insurance, Transfer Pricing, etc
- assist in the implementation and review of company-wide policies, procedures, process improvements, and best practices to maximize performance and reduce risk exposure
- provide support to the financial manager in ensuring that policies and procedures are followed consistently and in helping to promote compliance.
Prepare weekly, monthly and mid-year forecast including annual financial plans.
Provide analysis of root cause issues and solutions.
Provide implementation support on new procedures and processes.
Ad-hoc requests, reports and other duties assigned.
Education & Experience Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 3 years experience in an increasingly responsible Accounting Role
- Professional Certification is an asset
- Hyperion Financial Management and JDE experience a plus
- Strong Microsoft Office skills with advanced Excel competency
- Excellent problem solving / trouble shooting abilities
- Strong planning and organizational skills, and the ability to meet multiple deadlines across a range of duties
- Good interpersonal and communications skills in maintaining contact with financial, operational, and corporate personnel
- Strong managerial presence that reflects a “hand-on” participative, pro-active operating style requiring a high energy level and tolerance to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication, strong planning and organization skills across a broad range of professions and backgrounds
- Excellent problem solving/trouble shooting abilities
