Financial Analyst, FP&A

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is under Connection Technologies Financial Consolidation team with direct accountabilities for FP&A. Reporting to the VP Finance of Connection Technologies, the role will support the required financial and operational decision-making process at a consolidated segment level, covering three business units: DSG-Canusa, Shawflex, and Kanata Electronic Services. The role will be responsible for compiling internal monthly and quarterly reports, assisting in the preparation of internal presentations, and performing ad hoc financial analysis as required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with preparation of monthly Flash and Actuals P&L reporting, including inputs into thereof (calculating bonus accrual guidance, consolidation entries, interco sales and backlog eliminations).
• Preparation of monthly Connection Technologies P&L rolling forecast including compiling variance analysis, highlighting material changes from prior forecasts, and drafting of communications with senior management.
• Oversight of Connection Technologies balance sheet (cashflow) forecasting including preparation of cash flow model, consolidation, and review (including metrics) of all Connection Technologies regions.
• Assists in the coordination of the annual business plan.
• Oversight and preparation of Capex actuals and forecast.
• Ensure AFE’s are fully compliant, contain correct information and IRR calculations.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly reporting PowerPoint presentation. Prepare schedule backups, reconcile financial figures, and compile orderly charts and tables. Adjust presentation based on management review.
• Ad hoc analysis and projects as needed, including: maintaining leasequery, competitive and peer analysis/benchmarking, market macro dynamics, SLT and Board Presentation, M&A analysis.
• Support with internal audit requirements as needed.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree: Commerce, Admininstration, Accounting/Finance
• 3 to 5 years of Accounting/Finance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Must have academic knowledge of IFRS
• Must be experienced with Microsoft Excel and be able to work with advanced formulas and pivot tables
• Must be able to draft presentations – Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
• Excellent oral and written communications skills are a must
• Must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines
