Job Brief
This is a paid internshipfrom May to June 30, 2022.

We are looking for an energetic and organised Events Assistant to provide support to our Event Chair and Founder of Spice Food and Wine Group. You will coordinate and book media and advertising dates with the organisation’s PR firm, and liaise with vendors and suppliers. On the day of events, you will support the Event Chair in scheduling and media arrangements, help set up and tear down decorations, monitor the delivery of supplies, and ensure operations run smoothly. Our ideal candidate has some event planning experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Help in creating and managing social strategy and content for the events.
• Coordinate and review vendor contracts.
• Organise event documentation.
• Organise the calendar and book appointments and meetings for the event chair.
• Perform event-specific research as required, including but not limited to vendor acquisition, venue selection, and event advertising needs.
• Assist with set up and tear down of events.
• This may include client management, food and beverage services, technical assistance setup, and room layouts.
• Communicate with event partners at events as required.
• Complete administrative tasks outlined by the Event Chair, includes data entry, filing, office documentation and other administrative tasks as required and assigned.

Requirements

• A high school diploma is required.
• At least one year of relevant professional experience is preferred.
• Able to multitask.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and social media platforms, namely Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.

Job Types: Part-time, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 2 months
Part-time hours: 20 per week

Salary: $15.50 per hour
