What you will work on

As a Bartender at Harbour Cruises, you will be responsible for taking orders and serving drinks in a timely, accurate manner, as well as delivering a fun and satisfying dining experience to all guests. This is a great opportunity for an individuals who have strong people skills, a sense of professionalism and have a passion for creating great drinks for their customers.

As a Bartender at Harbour Cruises, you’ll get to:

  • Manage bar organization and upkeep all vessels and outlets to a high level of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Accurately and efficiently handle monetary transactions and end of shift financial consolidation
  • Ensure quality control with proper rotation and ordering
  • Maximize revenue per guest with creative sales approach
  • Always productive behind the bar, assisting other team members when required
  • Excellent attention to detail and immaculate organizational skills
  • Produces high quality and consistent beverages efficiently
  • Enforce current policies and procedures
  • Communicate any out of stock or product ordering required to ensure vessels and outlets are always sufficiently stocked
  • Upkeep and cleanliness of bar areas and all barware
  • Communicate any operational equipment and vessel issues to F&B Manager
  • Assist management in creating and implementing new Beverage programs
  • Create specialty drinks and food items based on demand from guests
  • Oversee merchandise acquisition, display, and sales, inventory
  • Oversee inventory control systems – Accurate and accountable inventory tracking
  • Ensure bars are fully stocked and proactively set up stations in accordance to events scheduled
  • Deliver excellent hospitality service by connecting with guests and customers in a respectful and friendly manner.
  • Thrive in an exciting fast-paced environment
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of the beverage menu and suggest pairings with our food offerings
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive work environment and support the team
  • Demonstrate your passion for guest experience and display your love for food and drinks through exceptional menu and product knowledge
  • Other Duties as assigned by Management and Supervisory Staff
  • Duties and Responsibilities might be adjusted from time to time

What you will bring to the team

  • Bartending experience in a banquet or restaurant environment
  • Broad knowledge of cocktail preparation and awareness of beverage trends
  • At least 1 year of bartending experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, stand for up to eight hours, and lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Valid Serving it Right and Food Safe Certification
  • Ability to stay calm and composed in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to be a team player, handling bar duties and assisting with vessel preparation and closure
  • Foundations and knowledge of food and various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktail recipes and mixology techniques
  • A positive, upbeat attitude with the ability to work well under pressure within a team
  • Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work most evenings and weekends, holidays and early mornings
  • Open to learn and ability to work with feedback to support the team
