Manpower is recruiting for a Licensed Red Seal Truck and Transport shop Foreman. We will also accept 3rd and 4th year apprentices. Are you looking for reliable work in a fast-paced environment? What is the job?

• Diagnose malfunctions and performs vehicle repairs related assigned duties within qualification level, in accordance with all relevant Federal, Provincial, and local guidelines and requirements.
• Oversee and comply with the local implementation of maintenance and safety standard operating procedures in this maintenance facility, ensuring that local staff comply with all locally applicable public authority legislation, regulation, and standards.
• Oversee and assist staff with tracking and the use of operating systems application and track work order and parts inventory maintained and used in this maintenance facility
• Work hands with your staff side by side when needed to implement preventive maintenance for the vehicles serviced by this maintenance facility
• Active participation in the work needed to complete unscheduled repairs to the vehicles serviced by this maintenance facility
• Supervise the maintenance staff at this maintenance facility.
• Ability to work independently, skilled in time management and organization.
• Familiarity of the region, and the ability to maneuver efficiently and effectively within all traffic situations.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with computer systems (work orders, client tracking systems)

What do you bring to the job?

• 5 years of fleet Supervisor experience in a Diesel Shop with Heavy Duty Feet
• Truck and Trailer mechanical repair experience
• Experience with Compliance with the local applicable DOT compliance of Med / Heavy Trucks
• Strong experience with computerized diagnostics
• Excellent time management and organizational Skills
• Accurate, methodical, and detailed approach to testing and repair.
• Background in planning and scheduling maintenance repairs (Daily, Weekly, Monthly)
• Oversee the parts inventory maintained and used in this maintenance facility
• Must be capable of working in a fast-paced, team environment with hard deadlines and client demands.
