Overview

Sobeys, a major food wholesaler in Canada serving the Sobeys, Safeway, Thrifty Foods, IGA, IGA extra, Rachelle-Bery, Les Marchés Bonichoix and Tradition banners, is looking for a Training and Development Analyst - Content Developer.

Note : This is a 14 month contract opportunity.

Job Description

Reporting to the Training and Development Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for designing and developing functional and technical training content in collaboration with functional experts.

Specifically, The Candidate Will Be Expected To
  • Support the training and skills development of store employees and managers by conducting training needs assessments, creating, improving and adapting training materials.
  • Develop training content by proposing appropriate, creative and innovative learning methods and solutions in collaboration with functional experts, including learning assessment tools;
  • Act as a facilitator in the training of trainers for new initiatives, analyze alternative methods and use appropriate methodologies, such as self-study, virtual training, face-to-face, online learning, depending on user needs and operational constraints;
Job Requirements

Requirements
  • You have completed a recognized education or training program in education, andragogy or educational technology combined with two (2) years experience in a training department;
  • You are familiar with classroom and online training content development techniques based on the ADDIE methodology and have experience in managing training projects;
  • You are proficient with software: Articulate360, Camtasia, Office 365; Teams, SmartSheet;
  • You prefer a collaborative approach;
  • You are creative;
  • You can manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while meeting established deadlines;
  • You are fluently bilingual, both written and spoken (English and French).
