Temporary Researcher

There is a temporary, part-time, (22.5 hours per week) position available with duties effective May 1st, ending no later than August 31st, 2022.

LOCATION: Catholic Education Centre, Burlington
EFFECTIVE DATE: May 1st, 2022
SALARY:Salary Band 3 ($32.22 per hour)

JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Chief Officer, Research and Development, the temporary Researcher will work with the Research team to provide technical support for data management, interpretation, and analysis for priority projects including the reporting of identity-based data.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

• Undergraduate degree in Honors Psychology, Sociology, or Geography (thesis required); Master of Arts student preferred (or in progress).
• Knowledge of and experience with quantitative research and analysis methods required.
• Experience working in a research environment using computer software or programming to manage, analyze, and visualize large data sets.
• Experience in an educational setting is an asset.
• Understanding of statistical concepts and analysis required.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Survey Monkey an asset.
• Experiences with data mining, and cleaning; knowledge of data-scientific computer programming languages (Python, R, SQL) and/or database management software an asset.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and best practices.
