About the role

Calian is searching for a Telecommunication System Specialist to support our Federal client in the Radar and Communications Systems (R&CS) Canadian Air Defence Sector (CADS) Upgrade Project and associated air defence systems.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of a College Diploma.

• Must possess demonstrated experience advising on communication infrastructure for at least one (1) building construction initiative during the previous ten (10) years involving various communications techniques; this experience must include

telephonic circuit and switch configuration and management;

network communications components and infrastructure (copper and fibre); and

cryptographic interface equipment installation

Must possess a minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated experience, including three (3) years out of the last five (5) years, in working with NAV CANADA and the Federal Aviation Administration on air movement data communications and data sharing.

Must possess a minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated experience, including three (3) years out of the last five (5) years, in the maintenance of Classified Internet Protocol (IP) networks.

Must possess a minimum of five (5) years demonstrated experience in the last ten (10) years in the use of the following five (5) Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio), or equivalent, products

Must hold valid security clearance to the level of Top Secret issued by the CIISD/PWGSC.
