SUMMERSIDE

WSP is currently seeking a Civil Technologist to join our Municipal Engineering department, located at our Summerside office. This position will be responsible for preparing drawings, plans, designs, and other related materials, connected to the delivery of civil engineering projects including roads and subdivistions, water and sewer systems, and various land development projects.

What you will do...

• Prepare preliminary and detailed drawings, designs, and plans for various civil engineering projects;
• Perform calculations; assessments, and inspections;
• Prepare presentation materials and proposals;
• Maintain familiarity with current techniques and developments;
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma from a Technician or Technologist program in Civil Engineering;
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience is desired;
• Eligible for membership with Island Technology Professionals (ITP) is an asset;
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team and independently with minimal oversight,take full responsibility for quality and efficiency of CAD work, and coordinate with engineering managers and designers;
• Thorough knowledge of Autocad is required, knowledge of Civil 3D is an asset;
• Ability to work on several projects at a time;
• Strong communication skills;
• Excellent technical, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
