Technical System Analyst

Reporting to the Manager, IT Transition, the Technical System Analyst is responsible for supporting the implementation, management, administration of the entire IT and cloud infrastructure.

Accountabilities

The accountabilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Support, configure, maintain and upgrade server infrastructure including but not limited to virtualization, backup and recovery, and storage
• Review and perform regular patching security updates, cumulative patches to servers and workstations
• Monitor system availability and performance. Review and respond to alerts and notifications from monitoring systems
• Review and assist vulnerability scanning and penetration testing to protect and prevent unwanted threats and intrusions activities
• Packaging of software for workstation/server deployment
• Support Azure, Active Directory and all Microsoft 365 related services

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in server infrastructure and related field
• Minimum 5 years of related work experience with the following technologies
• Hypervisor -VMWare infrastructure
• Microsoft - Active Directory, Windows server, Exchange hybrid, SCCM
• Storage system - NetApp
• Backup system - Commvault
• Citrix technologies - XenApp, XenDesktop and ADC/NetScaler
• Microsoft Office 365 - Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online
• Cloud technologies - MS Azure, AWS
• Adoption and demonstration of PetroChina Canada’s Values (Honorable, Unified, Passionate, Accountable)
