The Role


Mission:

To facilitate growth of Atlas Copco Power Technique Canada’s Aftermarket and support the capital equipment sales through a strong commitment to the delivery of high-quality technical support and training to all Atlas Copco Power Technique Canada’s customers and dealers.

This position is responsible for the technical support on the Power Technique Service’s product lines “Portable Air Compressors, Generators, Pumps and Tools”, This position requires dedication to continual product improvement by communicating through our parts distribution network, internal personnel, and the Product Companies.

This position also serves as the liaison between strategic account(s)/dealer network and the Company by being the primary contact for equipment training needs in terms of providing technical support and hand-s on service trainings. This position is instrumental in maintaining and growing the customer share, confidence, and overall customer experience with these account(s).


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Offer timely technical service support to our customers and internal customer service group via phone, e-mail, etc. and provide onsite troubleshooting, as needed.
  • Communicate with factory engineering as well as local vendors to resolve quality issues, and to seek retribution of warrantable issues from both the product companies as well as local vendors.
  • Develop and provide technical service training for customer center service teams, other technical support personnel, service technicians and distributors.
  • Define future training needs for strategic accounts/dealers and act as primary trainer, and facilitate additional training via the technical support and service center teams as required.
  • Continuously manage and develop content and training materials in the Learning Link; including promotion of on demand “self-service” learning options available to internal and external users.
  • Develop solid business relationships with key management personnel and decision-makers at the assigned account(s) through effective communication, interpersonal skills, and professionalism.
  • Facilitate the flow of information between the Company and the assigned account(s) regarding training opportunities, new or updated equipment design releases or potential solutions to the account(s) specific needs.
  • Escalate issues from the field related to troubleshooting, warranty resolution, parts recommendations, and parts expediting.
  • Support service/aftermarket campaigns, bulletins, issues, and events.
