On behalf of our client in Accounting & Finance, we are looking for a Tax Manager to join our clients growing team!

The Role

We are currently seeking a Tax Managerto join our Clients growing team. Reporting to the CEO, the Tax Manager will be responsible for all tax compliance, implementing efficiencies in the Year End practice, staff coaching, tax advisory and planning. The successful candidate will work in a client-based environment, have a strong background in tax, be detailed oriented, and have exceptional organization & communication skills. Experience with CaseWare, and/or Profile is required. Key areas will include preparing and filing personal tax and corporate tax as well as prepare financial statements and advise clients on tax savings and future growth.

Criteria
  • Completion of a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
  • Completion of Level 1 of In-depth Tax Program considered an asset.
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience in public accounting and/or tax consulting
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience working in Canadian Tax
  • Strong customer service
  • Experience with a recognized accounting package such as Simply Accounting and QuickBooks Online required.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a diverse workload and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
