We are currently looking for a System Administrator to join our team in Laval. You want to contribute to research activities? You are dynamic and have good interpersonal skills? Main responsibilities:

• Implement and administer Windows and Linux servers. This includes the administration and management of systems, security, monitoring and documentation;
• Perform Help Desk level 3 requests for problems, requests for services related to computer systems;
• Make service calls to suppliers and troubleshooting computer equipments and softwares;
• Inform the staff on the operation of computer systems and equipments;
• Plan and organize assigned projects according to timelines and outcomes;
• Act as a technical resource person for the IT team;
• Ensure that requests and problems are resolved in a courteous and professional manner.

Desired profile:

• AEC, DEC or a Bachelor in Information Technology or equivalent experience;
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in an IT environment;
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in system and network administration;
• Demonstrates the following technical skills:
• Knowledge and experience of environments Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 and Linux (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu);
• Knowledge and experience of Windows technologies and services (Exchange 2013, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, DFS, etc.);
• Knowledge and experience of VMWare environments;
• Knowledge and experience of Cisco IP telephony environments;
• Knowledge of Cisco networking technologies (LAN / WAN: switching, routing, firewalls, VPNs);
• Knowledge and experience with Veeam backup system;
• Ability to learn new equipment and procedures quickly;
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational and proven client service skills;
• Ability to prioritize effectively, meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure;
• Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.
