Summer Student - Executive Office

Student opportunity from May 2022 - August 2022

You will have the opportunity to gain experience in a broad range of areas, which will include the following:

• Conduct research, including jurisdictional scans, on current and long-term perspectives
• Prepare briefings, as required, based on government announcements, the review of research results, identification of trends and best practices
• Support project management, including collection of status reporting, issues and risk management and change control procedures
• Support meeting management including scheduling, collecting and distributing relevant materials, taking detailed meeting minutes and highlighting and following up on action items
• Performing cross-functional tasks and/or other project-related duties as required

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Motivated independent thinker who is able to also work in a team
• Analytical and critical thinker
• Enrollment in a post-secondary Business, Public Policy, Political Science, Environmental Studies, or Engineering, program preferred
• Experience with Microsoft programs
