The duties would include:

• Develops a methodology for the ongoing assessment of database performance and the identification of problem areas.
• Develops a security scheme for the database environment, as well as assisting in disaster recovery if necessary.
• Perform health checks to ensure the integrity of the schema and the data
• Perform health checks to ensure the synchronization of database replicas
• Liaise with other infrastructure teams to resolve complex application performance analysis
• Develop and maintain the appropriate operational documentation for databases
• Import, update and export large data files
• Write scripts, functions, stored procedures using SQL
• Analyze project/task requirements to determine how data should be organized, who should have access to different data and how it should be organized
• Write SQL statements for adhoc reports
• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly management reports
• Developing and deploying DTS/SSIS/SSRS packages
• Build jobs using 24/7 scheduler

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO HAVE?

• Current: Bachelor’s degree (BAC) in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering
• Current: Interest in Project Management tools and methodologies is an asset, basic understanding of MS Office productivity tools, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Experience with SQL Server Environment

• Familiarity with Visual Basic, C#, Java and .NET programming languages

• Be looking for an eligible internship that will be credited towards your training.
