Airswift has been tasked by one of our major clients to seek for a Subsea Project Engineer to join them in the West White Rose Project (WWRP) in a multi-year position in St. John’s, NL.

The Subsea Project Engineer will support the planning and execution of Subsea Construction activities related to the West White Rose Project. The professional will work collaboratively with a team of highly qualified individuals to ensure that a satisfactory level of preparedness is achieved before the commencement of offshore construction activities. This position requires substantial time offshore, over multiple construction seasons, overseeing the execution of Subsea Installation activities to support the West White Rose scope of work.

Responsibilities

• Have a functional role in the review of Construction methodologies, constructability, hazard identification, and risk review as it pertains to West White Rose subsea workscopes.

• Involved with multiple workscopes and multi-disciplined interfaces to support the planning and execution of West White Rose subsea activities.

• Involved with SIMOPs management and coordination.

• Involved with review and acceptance of Contractors’ installation documentation.

• Coordination with Marine Warranty Surveyor as applied to subsea construction activities.

• Involved with offshore Management of Change review & coordination.

• Offshore client representation on Construction / Dive Support Vessels during execution campaign years (2024 / 2025).

Deliverables

• An accepted & approved set of installation procedures prior to the start of offshore activities.

• Close-out of key HIRA actions prior to the commencement of the activity.

• Input into integrated schedule & SIMOPs planning.

• Meeting key deliverables & milestones as required to support various work fronts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering Degree.

• P. Eng. member in good standing with Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL).

• Basic Survival Training Including HUET/HUEBA.

• 5 years of experience in a progressively responsible Engineering role within the Oil & Gas industry.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Offshore Construction & Installation activities.

• Minimum 5 years of experience working with Subsea equipment (structures, flowlines, risers, moorings, controls, etc.)

• High-level overview of Project Management Processes.

• Sound level understanding of HSEQ Processes and Management Systems.

• Experience with conducting Operations in challenging environmental conditions.

• Experience with System Integration Testing (SIT).

• Experience with Management of Change (MOC) implementation & execution.

• Require a driver’s license with a clean record during the Onboarding Process.
