Job Overview

Under the supervision of the Vice-President, Strategic Initiatives, the Strategic Initiatives Project Manager will be responsible for carrying out and supporting innovation projects. Their main responsibilities will be to coordinate and monitor the implementation stages of various projects, monitor budgets and schedules, and promote projects at the national level. The project manager works in concert with partners from the health network, various innovation players, partners and funders. The incumbent will have to provide reports and supervise the evaluation of projects under their responsibility.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Develop projects and write funding requests.
  • Coordinate and monitor the implementation stages of various projects.
  • Establish project work plans and timelines.
  • Prepare budget forecasts and track expenses.
  • Establish and monitor Mission portfolio performance indicators.
  • Work with various partners and suppliers on project development.
  • Call on the expertise of various players to develop and disseminate content.
  • Participate in project evaluations.
  • Prepare activity reports and financial reports.
  • Help draft various communications.
  • Help with related mandates at the immediate supervisor’s request.
What We Are Looking For
  • University education in a relevant field
  • Two to three years of experience in project management
  • Experience in cancer prevention/health promotion (an asset)
  • Experience in project evaluation (an asset)
  • Good communication skills (oral and written)
  • Bilingualism (oral and written)
  • Comfortable with new technologies
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Available for travel outside of Montreal
  • Good organizational skills and very good time and priority management skills
  • Leadership, autonomy, determination
  • Ability to analyze and distill information
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Networking skills
  • Strong adaptability and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to achieve deliverables within tight deadlines
