Overview

Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team!

We are currently looking for a Solutions Architectto lead and coach project teams in architecting solutions that achieve project goals while adhering to strategic enterprise architecture and IT Guiding Principles. The ideal candidate will have the ability to align technical solutions to business goals with experience in Azure, MuleSoft, API, and Gateway.

This position will be based out of Mississauga, ON or Stellarton, NS based on the successful candidate’s location.

What You’ll Get To Do In This Fast-paced Role

• Review and provide guidance for system development lifecycle documents, specifically input into the Blueprint, High level Technical design and review of detailed designs
• Leverage and assist with the evolution of enterprise architecture strategic goals and work products
• Evaluate and provide input into discovery initiatives, business proposals and charters for new projects
• Evaluate and recommend tools, techniques and processes to enhance software development and quality
• Participate in Blueprint and High Level Functional Design
• Communicate with Project Team
• Analyze current technical solution to meet the business process
• Assist in the remediation of stability and performance of existing applications and systems
• Assist with context diagram(s) & architectural diagram(s)
• Assist with the validate completeness of HLTD against HLFD
• Assist in resource requirement determination & estimates
• Assist in creating project schedule options
• Consult on recommendations for business process change with respect to total solution
• Analyze technical changes required to meet new business goal
• Assist in management of change (e.g., distribute tasks to be performed, monitor resources and task execution)
• Determine business and technical requirements for the solution (all or partial)
• Determine Strategy for High Level Design
  

What You’ll Bring To The Team

• Undergraduate degree and a minimum 8 years relevant experience in all aspects of the development and deployment of software solutions in a distributed environment
• Significant experience in 3 or more distinct software development environments
• Excellent working knowledge of Azure, MuleSoft, API, and Gateway
• Demonstrated ability to align technical solutions to business goals
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and coordinate with others in a matrix organization
• Proven ability to architect, construct, and deploy solutions in a collaborative team environment
• Strong technical knowledge of SAP
• Strong technical skill in system integration
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a variety of complex projects simultaneously
• Strong relationship building and management skills to achieve work related goals
