Description

As a Receiving and Shipping Attendant, you will be a full member of our production team. Under the responsibility of the production foreman, the controller will be primarily responsible for:

• Operate a crane safely
• Consolidate steel to be shipped safely
• Load, solidify and balance loads in the truck safely
• Perform calculations of loads to be shipped
• Make sure that the material to be shipped is according to the packing slip
  
  

Requirements

Education / Certifications

• High school diploma
• Have a good knowledge of the handling of overhead cranes of more than 5 tons with hanging station (Radio-control)
• Overhead crane operator training or card (an asset)
  
  

Technical Skills / Aptitudes

• Good knowledge of crane handling
• Knowledge of the steel industry and having worked in reception and / or shipping
• Overhead crane operator training or card (an asset)
• Must have a good attitude towards authority, good oral communication, good manual dexterity, a good sense of initiative and a great sense of organization and be safe.
• Must demonstrate autonomy, diplomacy, analysis and judgment.
• Must like to work in a team
