Summary:

This position is responsible for providing first and second level client side support to end-users on PC/LAN/WAN based equipment. The individual will reside on-site at our service desk. The individual will liaise with the client, technicians, and all other departments involved to ensure that PC, laptop, network and printer calls are handled professionally, and that the highest quality of service is provided. Communication skills and attention to details are key to this position.

Must Have’s:

· Must be a Canadian Citizen (Not a permanent resident) as they will be required to obtain a Government of Canada Military Security Clearance.

· Must have a diploma from a recognized Technical College or University

· Must NOT have a criminal record.

· Must have a valid Saskatchewan Driver’s License.

· Must be local to Moose Jaw or willing to relocate.

· Must have CompTIA A+ certificate or be willing to acquire it.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Focus on completing support calls in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that constant communication is maintained with internal and external clients.
  • Manage and assign work orders in a timely manner.
  • Provide customer assistance and document customer interactions.
  • Diagnose and correct computer related issues and restore a failing device to proper working operation.
  • Have in-depth technical knowledge of Microsoft products, Laptops and PC computers.
  • Understand customer network architecture and protocols and be able to perform problem

determination on a customer’s network. This includes maintaining accurate records and updating documentation on an ongoing basis.

  • Stay abreast of all new technologies relating to the IT environment in which they work.
  • Work with multiple customers in a remote and in-person capacity

Skills, Education and Experience:

Technical College Diploma in computer systems. Have a minimum of 2 years of experience maintaining tier 1 computer systems. Be technically proficient through training or field experience in the following areas:

  • Desktop, Laptop hardware and Printer Repair experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 operating systems support.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft 365 + Office application support.
  • Must possess good software and hardware troubleshooting skills combined with good written and oral communications skills.
  • Excellent Customer relations skills mandatory.
  • Audio/Visual equipment experience is a benefit.
  • Microsoft Certifications would be a benefit.
  • Experience in providing support on Windows 10/11 and application software is an asset.
  • Experience with EITSM is an asset.
  • Experience with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) is an asset.
  • Experience in providing support on Apple, Android and Blackberry products is an asset.
  • Must be physically able to lift/move desktops & monitors.
