Overview

As an employee of CKTL & CO., your role is greater than just delivering great tasting food to the table. You are the guests’ first impression of a CKTL & CO. experience, and you set the tone and expectation for what is about to come. As a professional server you will not only instill confidence through your skill, but also as an ‘F&B Broker’ guiding guests through our menu options featured on a platform known as The Drink Exchange where feature items will fluctuate in price and mimic the movements on the stock market.

This is a fun and unique concept in which you will have to be aware of frequent changes in our offerings and communicating those changes to guests at a moments’ notice. You will build the trust of our guests by providing clarity around what they can expect during their visit. You are responsible for introducing the guest to an immersive CKTL & CO. experience by providing menu recommendations and accompanying beverage based on their preference for items listed on the Drink Exchange or regular menu offerings.

Server Job Description

The Server is responsible for the overall dining experience of each guest. The Server plays a key role in creating the vibe and an environment where our guest feels relaxed and engaged. Be yourself, have fun and create a memorable and lasting impression whereby every one of our guests cannot wait to come back. Your passion for the guest experience is the cornerstone of our success.

● Provide the guest suggestions/recommendations for food and beverages based on their wants or needs

Duties & Responsibilities

● Knowledgeable about CKTL & CO. including all products, menu’s and promotions - be able to relay all information in appealing and informative manner to all guests

● Table service - taking orders, answering menu and beverage inquiries, explaining daily features, placing orders with kitchen while following all standards as it pertains to each task

● Delivery of food and beverage to tables in the dining room and lounge

● Processing bills and taking payment

● Handling guest concerns with and without the support of the management team

● Providing the highest quality of service at all times in all guest interactions

● Clearing, setting, polishing, and cleaning tables, glassware and utensils

● Preparation and cleanliness of the dining room area and equipment before, after and during each service

● Proper adherence to all cash handling procedures as outlined in company policies

● Correct use of POS system, adhering to all company standards and policies

● Ensure safe and responsible alcohol service as per all Smart Serve Regulations

● Ensure food is presented with exceptional level of detail prior to delivering to guests

Job Requirements

● Ability to prioritize and stay organized in a high-paced environment

● Minimum of 2 years’ experience serving in a full-service restaurant environment

● Fluency in English both written and verbal

● Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays

● Must be able to carry and lift items weighing 25lbs, must be able to stoop and bend

● Must be able to stand and move for extended periods of time to continuously perform essential job functions

● Current and valid Smart Serve certification

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.50 per hour
