Akkodis is seeking a Senior Network Architect for a contract position with a client located in Winnipeg, Manitoba (Remote). Ideally looking for Familiarity with current networking design and implementation, specifically designing networks to accommodate increased adoption of cloud-based services.

Position: Senior Network Architect

Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba (Remote)

Job Description:

• 10 years of experience in network design and architecture, including the development and implementation of strategic plans and associated roadmaps within large, complex organizations with multiple

locations.

• 5 years of experience in developing network designs and architectures to accommodate both significant cloud and third-party data centre resource deployments.

• Experience conducting structured workshops and interviews with stakeholders to identify relevant architectural requirements.

• Experience designing and implementing network security controls using other reference architectures and standards, such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.

• Experience engaging with product vendors and their reference architectures to support design and implementation planning.

• Experience with network control design and implementation, including security controls.

Skills and Depth:

• A University Degree in a related discipline (Computer Science or Computer Engineering) or an equivalent combination of experience and training.

• Familiarity with current networking design and implementation, specifically designing networks to accommodate increased adoption of cloud-based services.

• Information System Professional certification (CISSP) would be an asset.

• Working knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as SABSA, SAFe, and TOGAF.

• Ability to work independently as a senior level resource.

• Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
