Johnson and Johnson is recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst, NA Supply Chain Deliver role. This position can be located in Piscataway, NJ or Markham, Canada, and will support the cross-sector Deliver team.

The Deliver Finance team, based in Piscataway and Skillman, NJ, is an Enterprise team created to leverage financial leadership and analytics to drive value in the areas of Distribution, Logistics & Customer Experience across the three sectors in J&J. The Deliver Finance Team provides a unique and exciting opportunity to develop both business partnering and finance leadership skills.


Key responsibilities include the following:

Business Partnering

This position requires interaction with senior management to provide business and finance insights in a highly dynamic organization.

Business partners work in conjunction with the Finance team to provide analysis to drive insights that shape the business and logistics strategies.

This role provides rare opportunity to work with external suppliers/3PL and is a key player to influence budget negotiation and contract fees.


Finance Leadership

Due to the interdependency where Deliver plays in both SG&A and COGS, this position provides exposure to both Commercial Finance, as well as Supply Chain Finance.

We are looking for candidates with strong analytical skills as the role requires finance modeling and "should cost" forecasting on top of FP&A responsibilities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing financial analysis, insight and guidance to the Deliver teams to support business decision making on key logistics strategies and initiatives for multiple Segments in Canada and US
  • Lead business planning & forecast cycles and perform month-end financial close. Deliver consolidated monthly/quarterly financial reporting of warehousing and transportation activities across all segments
  • Provide end to end financial leadership and strategic support for various business cases and initiatives, such as Network Optimizations, Sourcing RFPs, Acquisitions, Cost Improvement Projects, long-range financial planning, prioritization of investments, etc. leading to value creating opportunities
  • Evaluating investment alternatives using data-based analytics to identify opportunities to deliver or exceed financial commitments
  • Support Enterprise-wide changes and other special projects within the Finance and business teams, as requested
  • Develop the appropriate analytic and control framework leading to value creating business decisions
  • Drive automation process improvements utilizing systems such as Alteryx, Power BI and Tableau (and/or other similar systems/platforms) to help reduce manual touchpoints and increase speed of delivery
  • Utilize and/or develop operational metrics as key leading indicators that are cost drivers for financial performance
  • Proactively educate and develop Business Partner financial acumen
  • Provide support for key compliance activities to ensure adherence to SOX, Worldwide procedures and internal policies and procedures

The SFA will report to the Finance Manager, Deliver Canada and will work directly with senior leadership within the Deliver function and the Commercial and Supply Chain Finance organizations.



Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required, a major in finance, accounting and/or business focus is preferred
  • MBA and/or Professional accounting designation (CMA, CGA, CA, CPA) is preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of finance or accounting experience is required
  • Experience in supply chain, pharmaceutical, medical device or consumer products is preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – ability to prepare and clearly & concisely present complex financial analytics and insights to senior business and financial partners is required
  • Resourceful and independent. Demonstrated success within a challenging environment with a high degree of change and complexity.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, and ability to manage a strong compliance environment is required
  • Experience driving efficiencies with use of tools like Alteryx, Power BI and Tableau to automate work is preferred
  • This position will be located in Piscataway, NJ or Markham, Canada and may require up to 10% travel
