POSITION DESCRIPTION: Senior Financial Analyst
DEPARTMENT: North American Finance
POSITION REPORTING TO: CFO – North America

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting the CFO NA and act as a key interface between the site finance, corporate finance, and U.S. business units, providing analysis and reporting to support effective decision making and strategic initiatives. This position will also be responsible for certain treasury functions, strategic project support, audit support, and financial presentations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Actively contribute to delivery of all financial and business performance
  • Review monthly reports, actuals budgets, plans and forecasts of the various business units
  • Review and analyze US financial statements
  • Prepare U.S. management reports as well as sales and marketing management reports
  • Be the point of contact for U.S. business colleagues for financial issues
  • Responsible for budgeting, planning, and analysis of key financial results in the U.S.
  • Support annual U.S. tax return completion
  • Support internal and external audit requirements, prepare PBC and reporting package
  • Consult with above corporate finance contacts in Taiwan, external auditors and regulatory authorities
  • Maintain RBC banking and credit card portal
  • Process bill.com and expensify for the U.S. team
  • Support IDTS SRED claims
  • Support CFO on various ad-hoc projects
  • Other duties as required

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
  • Minimum 5-7 years related work experience in finance, preferably in a manufacturing or life sciences environment
  • Experience developing financial models in excel
  • Demonstrated experience working with business areas to guide business managers through budget and financial planning processes
  • Exposure to sales analysis
  • Advanced expertise in Ms. office suite applications [excel, PowerPoint]
  • Experience using SAP and related reporting tools
  • Deep understanding of accounting processes and regulations and experience dealing with complex accounting principles and financial statements
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex financial analysis to business leaders

EDUCATION
Required:
  • A degree in finance or accounting
Preferred
  • CPA designation and/or MBA
