Role*

• Write copy for a broad range of audiences, platforms, and media touchpoints
• Work closely with an in-house team (sales, producer, editor etc.) to help guide a project from concept to final delivery
• Liaise with clients regarding copy, storyboards, edits, and omni-channel media assets
• Provide strategic contributions to creative discussions
• Champion Buchanan best practice principles
• Lead creative development for pitches, and meet with leading CPG marketers
• Communicate with suppliers to coordinate animation, storyboarding, motion graphics, translations, etc.
• Bring creative to life through directing on-set and providing creative direction to the post-production team
• Provide training and mentorship to creative team
• Some travel will be required from time to time

Our Qualifications and Experience Wishlist: *

• Bachelor’s degree in advertising/media/communications/marketing
• 5+ years of industry relevant experience
• Demonstrated strategic skillset in writing persuasive copy, tailored to a variety of audiences across various media touchpoints
• Directing experience mandatory
• Confidence when presenting to clients and pitching ideas
• High level of technical understanding and proficiency regarding creative deliverables (SBs, animation, graphics, post-production)
• Desire to work in a fun, fast paced, high pressure environment
• Evidence of a strong understanding of the Buchanan business and our branded advertising platforms
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (additional language considered an asset)
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office
• Editing, producing or graphic design considered an asset
