Senior Accountant - Piteau Associates Engineering Ltd.

Piteau Associates Engineering Ltd. is an established Engineering firm providing quality Geotechnical and Hydrogeologic services since 1976. Our Head Office is located in North Vancouver, with offices in the US, Peru, Chile, South Africa and the UK. We require a Senior Accountant to join our growing Finance Team. This is a hands-on role which will provide a wide range of duties and responsibilities, and will provide you with excellent experience as you work toward your CPA designation. Reporting to and working closely with the CFO, you will be an integral part of the day-to-day operation of the finance function.

Some of the responsibilities are:

• Bank reconciliations for 5 companies
• Month-end journal entries and accruals
• Assist with payroll and benefits
• WIP reconciliations
• Oversee A/P processing
• Review employee expense reports
• Credit card reconciliations
• Check runs and EFT batches
• Project reporting
• Assist with year-end preparation and work with external accountants
• Assist with system conversion
• Other duties as required

This position requires the following skills and experience:

• 5 to 7 years working in full-cycle accounting preferably in a professional services environment
• Highly developed skills in Sage 300 and Excel
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Excellent English (both written and oral)
