About us:

Platform Life Sciences is a rapidly growing global health contract research organization specializing in platform clinical trials for the evaluation of therapies for COVID-19 and other respiratory infectious diseases. We are headquartered in Vancouver, BC, Canada, with satellite offices in Nassau, Bahamas; Belo Horizonte, Brazil; Kigali, Rwanda; and Cape Town, South Africa. Platform Life Sciences coordinates the TOGETHER Trial, the world’s largest placebo-controlled COVID-19 clinical trial. Our founders and leadership are clinical experts and serial entrepreneurs, with academic positions at universities around the globe.

Platform Life Sciences is growing rapidly, and we are looking to expand our team to include a scientific and grant writer to develop funding proposals to corporate, government and foundation partners, as well as contribute to the writing, reviewing, and managing the submissions of scientific manuscripts generated by our team. The position would report to the Chief Operating Officer and work closely with the Chief Scientific Officer to seek new business and manage existing client relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Providing strategic planning and direction to the company for securing funding opportunities from all sources, including government funding agencies, private foundations, and pharmaceutical/biotechnology industries

• Managing all aspects of proposal development, from writing, tracking, and liaising with clients and potential clients; creating templates and budgets as necessary

• Developing Master Services Agreements and contracts with clients and funding partners

• Working with staff to ensure contract milestones and deliverables are met

Requirements:

• 5-10 years’ experience in grant writing and proposal development in the health sector

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for various audiences

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $100,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
