SALES ASSOCIATE ISR

Location:Yorkton, Saskatchewan

Position Type:Permanent Full Time

Number of Positions: 1

Salary:$28.01 - $40.80/hour (salary determined based on education and experience)

POSITION OVERVIEW

Sales incented position responsible for using SaskTel sales methodologies to proactively identify and close opportunities within their customer base. Responsible for achieving customer contact strategy, positively impacting customer satisfaction, increasing revenue as well as maintain their existing revenue base. Determines, develops and delivers business solutions, sales strategies and proposals to business customers. Interacts with various departments within SaskTel to supply customer communications solutions. Maintains primed customer accounts. Provides support and assistance to Account Executives, Account Representatives, Service Representatives and Sales Coordinators as required.

TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Determines technology needs of assigned customer base. Develops solutions to fulfill customer needs. Delivers business solutions, sales strategies and proposals to business customers.
  • Translates customer needs and applications into technical products and service offerings with a focus on ICT products and services.
  • Assists Account Executives and/or Managers with the identification of business opportunities and sales strategies. Participates in planning sessions to chart account direction.
  • Works with and provides assistance to Account Executives, Account Reps and Service Reps daily.
  • Assists in the maintenance of existing revenue base and meets new revenue generated objectives.
  • Coordinates implementation of and customer training for sold products and services.
  • Provides ongoing customer service through face-to-face interaction and various forms of communication.
  • Participates in planning, scheduling and implementing specific promotional activities.
  • Negotiates, administers and maintains new and/or existing customer contracts.
  • Develops and maintains working knowledge of SaskTel wire-line, wireless and IP-based products and services, systems, pricing options and regulatory environment.
  • Makes sales presentations and performs equipment demonstrations.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

    1.Certificate in Business Administration, Marketing or Technical Institute Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with working knowledge of current sales techniques, typically gained with 3 years in a Sales role OR Level 30 English with working knowledge of current sales techniques, typically gained with 5 years in one or more of the following areas: Service Representative, Service Technician, Sales Coordinator, Install & Repair or Data Test.

    2.Successfully demonstrates sales ability in a face-to-face sales environment.

    3.Working knowledge and application of SaskTel Business products and services including one or more of the following:

    a) Wireline

    b)Wireless technology

    c) Networked environments

    d) Installation, maintenance & repair of current PABX & key system telephone equipment.

    4.Working knowledge of one or more of the following:

    a) IP & Cloud based services

    b) Convergence & Hosted Applications

    c) Technology Devices e.g. Smartphones, Tablets etc.

    5.General knowledge of business principles e.g. Finance, Marketing, Planning, Purchasing and Communications.

    6.Working knowledge of Tariff and Special Assembly Offerings.

    7.Working knowledge of internal SaskTel business processes as it relates to Business Sales and Solutions.

    8.Demonstrated ability to present customized sales presentations.

    9.General knowledge of telecommunications industry issues e.g. regulation, emerging technologies and competition.

    10.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to influence and persuade others.

    11.Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.

    12.Good planning, organizing and coordinating skills.

    13.Valid Driver’s License.
