Duties

The Comparative Metabolic Physiology lab at Brandon University is recruiting motivated research assistants to carry out experiments on the metabolism of the waxworm (Galleria mellonella) and zebrafish (Danio rerio). The successful candidates will assist in animal husbandry, experimental design, metabolic and molecular assays. The research assistant will also be involved in the analysis and interpretation of the results of this research. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience

No prior experience is required, though previous exposure to research methods, molecular biology or animal husbandry is preferred.

However, regardless of prior experience additional lab training and close supervision will be provided.
