We are looking for a Research & Database Assistantto join our growing team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Define scope of markets (generate product and SKU lists).
• Extract, organize and analyze purchase order data to support the research team in: (1) the development of syndicated and custom market reports, (2) the production of MedSKU consulting projects and (3) resolving client questions and/or concerns regarding published data
• Transfer purchase order data from online databases to MS Excel.
• Review purchase order data for data entry errors.
• Draw on multiple industries and government sources (i.e. eSutures, accessGUDID, etc.) to identify unit of measure (i.e. box of 10, case of 5, etc.) and product characteristics (i.e. length, diameter, material, etc.) for each SKU investigated.
• Summarize market data using MS Excel.
• Review company revenue statements and track relevant data in MS Excel.
• Prepare baseline market analysis for research analysts.
• Cross-verify results of baseline analysis against existing iData reports, catalog and investigate discrepancies.
• Work closely with the analyst team to refine the scope and accuracy of the analysis.
• Be proactive in researching the market reports assigned, keeping the senior analyst and team leader/manager updated on report progress.
• Maintain project timeline and ensure report quality.
• Upon the hiring of new Research & Database Assistant, provide support and encouragement to the new team members, as required (“mentor/buddy” system).
• Assist in training when Data Analyst is unavailable
• Conduct secondary research relevant to respective research projects. This includes product web pages, research mergers, and acquisitions, review company press releases, investigate FDA recalls and clinical trials.
• Develop a thorough understanding of medical device market Research companies to determine key decision-maker
• Other duties that may be assigned, which fall within the nature of the role.

Requirements for this role:

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with a focus in Biology/Life Sciences, or Economics.
• Minimum 1-year experience.
• Medical and/or pharmaceutical industry experience is an asset.
• Demonstrated experience in data entry is an asset.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to produce highly professional technical documentation.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills, with a strong sense of responsibility and adherence to deadlines.
• Detail-oriented accuracy in all work and communication.
• Demonstrated analytical problem-solving acumen.
• Enjoys a fast-paced, dynamic, challenging, and team-oriented work environment.
• Internet savvy and fluent in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Experience using advanced features in MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, conditional formatting, etc.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
