We are currently recruiting for a Director of Direct-To-Consumer (DTC) eRetail – a strategic new role to support the VP of eCommerce in leading Reprise Commerce, a specialist unit within Mediabrands Canada designed for end-to-end eCommerce needs.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting into the VP of eCommerce, the Director of Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Omnichannel eRetail is responsible for contributing to the development of the eCommerce practice within Reprise Canada, acting as a lead consultant to help clients optimize the planning, execution, and deployment of best-in class eCommerce practices.

This newest member of the Reprise Commerce team, with broad capabilities in eCommerce, will have the key responsibility of owning the development of consulting services related to Direct-to-Consumer business models and optimization of a brand’s Omnichannel eRetail approach.

You are responsible for interpreting client needs, diagnosing their eComm model & objectives and delivering strategic advice to address those needs. You will be familiar with eCommerce media, digital marketing capabilities and Omnichannel activities for the Direct-to-Consumer business model and how to integrate them within a connected proposition that bridges sales with marketing to enable our clients to accelerate their growth.

You are a business leader with a growth mindset, capable of consultative solution-selling and new client prospecting. You can inspire teams while also holding them accountable for delivering on daily eCommerce performance goals. You are motivated by an entrepreneurial mindset and driven by creativity and problem solving.
Job Responsibilities
  • In collaboration and support to the VP of eCommerce, accelerating our organization’s eCommerce offering and roadmap for future business growth from a consulting and advisory lens, with a focus on Direct-to-Consumer.
  • Development of agency solutions and services across the full breadth of Direct-to-Consumer, including but not limited to Omnichannel commerce implementation, strategic framework development, retail & operational strategy.
  • Be the lead for all Direct-to-Consumer internal and external discussions and main consultancy contact for digital transformation and D2C opportunities with clients.
  • Identify, propose and develop partnerships with external providers that will complement and extend our practice.
  • Creation of eCommerce thought leadership and strategic perspective to aid in prospecting and converting organic expansion opportunities with client stakeholders.
  • Consulting with senior-level clients on how to solve their challenges, drive business growth and optimize P&L through both long and short-term Omnichannel and D2C eCommerce strategies.
  • Connecting online and offline through Omnichannel eRetail marketing strategies, partnering across the IPG agency network and with Reprise paid media, experience and content disciplines to maximize customer flow across every touchpoint.
  • Designing and implementing processes with the goal to develop auditing techniques, improve standardization and efficiency of eCommerce solutions and deliverables while considering clients’ needs.
  • Building partnerships and driving innovation with key eCommerce platforms and providers.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Successful eCommerce track record with a strong focus in Direct-to-Consumer, Omnichannel management and eCommerce organizational structure. Minimum 5 - 10 years experience preferred.
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience. University or College graduate preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Digital Transformation, Prospect Relationship Management, Customer Relationship Management and all key activities related to Omnichannel Commerce within a D2C model.
  • Passion for eCommerce and crafting stories with a point of view; ability to translate marketing/sales objectives into structured frameworks, build business cases and develop data-led best practices.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving complex eComm challenges, understanding client-side trade/sales teams and how to meet their needs.
  • Client service oriented. Ability to confidently lead client meetings.
  • Broad understanding of the importance of optimized content and experiences/journeys.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Highly developed organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables.
  • Strong learning agility, with a passion for curiosity and continuous development.
