Summary:

Reporting to the Duty Supervisor, this is a seasonal PT position. As service staff, you are in a guest service position. You must be exceptionally friendly and helpful, with a caring attitude toward guests and co-workers. You should be willing to tackle any assigned task with safety, interest, and hard work. You will be required to do physical work, including lifting, climbing ladders, kneeling and janitorial duties. Must be available for 1 after school shift and 1 weekend shift that rotates between an open and a close.

After Training, Service Staff will be responsible for the following:

- Uphold Mt. Seymour’s vision & mission statement.

- Compliance with all Mt. Seymour policies and procedures as set out in the Employee Handbook, Rental Employee Handbook and Google Doc’s Section.

- Complete any duties assigned by the Duty Manager or Duty Supervisor.

- Fit boots using a foot sizer, buckle and adjust boots for guests, ensuring they are as comfortable as possible.

- Tagging boots for schools and groups (WAM and RSP).

- Assisting RSP holders in finding their boots and help with fitting when needed.

- Ensure boots are placed on dryers and rotated in an organized fashion.

- Maintain cleanliness of your area and cleanliness of the rental building.

- Constantly survey the boot racks and ensure boots are organized and tidy.

- Assist with keeping the building safe especially keeping the doorways clear of snow and ice.

- Know daily mountain activities, special events, guest facilities and all promotional material available to guests.

- Other related duties as required.

- Ability to be a supportive team member.

- Ability to work in a busy environment and under pressure.

- Must be available for Christmas and March school breaks, weekends, morning, and night shifts.

• North Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
