Canadian Health Labs (CHL) is a mobile healthcare provider under contract to provide rapid COVID-19 testing, vaccination and contact tracing services for various public and private sector locations throughout Canada.

We are currently recruiting COVID-19 testing (licensed healthcare staff) staff to work at our locations to fulfill these contracts.

Remuneration is based on qualifications held and ranges from $30.00/hour and up.

Responsibilities

• Vaccinate for Covid-19 and /or collection of nasal/oral specimens for the purpose of testing for COVID-19

• Follow infection prevention & control policies, specifically related to donning and doffing PPE as well as handling specimens

• Ensuring accurate documentation including patient requisitions and specimen labels

• Interacting with other contractors and managers is a professional and friendly manner.

• Provide symptom checks and care for patients if adverse events arise

• Ensure all Personal Health Information (PHI) is handled according to local/provincial guidelines and requirements

Qualifications

• Graduate of an RPN/LPN/RN program

• Current Registration with provincial nursing board/association

• New Nursing Graduates with current applicable registration will be considered

• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification

• Basic knowledge of swab collection and/or COVID-19 Testing procedure

• Demonstrated strong decision making, problem solving, and critical thinking skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to effectively resolve conflict in a productive and respectful manner

• Experience and knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control (IP&C) protocols

• Knowledge of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use and hand washing techniques

Shifts

• All shifts are 4-8 hours in length

• Most deployment locations operate 7-days per week, including holidays

All required PPE (for staff and the public) will be provided.

Salary: $40.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Registered Nurse (RN) License (preferred)
• CPR Certification (preferred)
