Genomadix is looking for a Python Developer – Potential Team Leadto help grow our software development team. We are looking for technical contributors throughout Genomadix’s entire technology stack. We are also looking for a technical contributor to act as software team lead.

Our ideal candidate for Python developer is a motivated and flexible individual, who is excited in working in a variety of areas including Genomadix’s DNA test platform. You will implement, test and document a variety of customer facing and internal facing applications.

The Genomadix software team is small, so flexibility, and comfort in both working alone with minimal direction, and as part of a small team is valued. Other opportunities include: front-end development, data analysis, and web (front and backend) development.

Please indicate in your application if you are interested in fulfilling the software team lead role, in addition to being a technical contributor.

As a technical contributor you will be doing:

• Develop and maintain the Python applications that power Genomadix’s DNA test platform

• You will be working within a medical device software life cycle process (example: IEC 62304)

• Assist in developing, maintaining and deploying data analysis tools

• Develop Genomadix’s web based infrastructure

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including product managers, other software developers and testers, data analysts and other scientists

As a technical contributor what you bring to the table is:

• 2+ years’ experience with Python application development, including experience with threading, multiprocessing and IPC/RPC mechanisms

• Prior experience with Python web frameworks, such as Django, Flask, etc

• Experience in developing on Linux platforms

• Experience with formal software life cycle processes such as IEC 62304

• (Optional) Experience in deployment and maintenance of web applications

As a software team lead you will be doing:

• Acting a single point of contact for software matters for our VP of R&D and Chief Scientific Officer

• Manage software team resources

As a software team lead what you bring to the table is:

• Prior experience in software leadership position

• Prior experience interacting with non-software stakeholders
