KPMG is looking for a dynamic Proposals Manager for our Regions East market, on a 12-month contract basis. The manager will collaborate with client services teams (e.g., account lead partners, client service professionals, subject matter experts, business development directors) to develop successful pursuit strategies and produce innovative client-centric proposals. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Proposals, Regions East and the successful candidate will be an important member of the Regions East Marketing team.

What You Will Do
  • Support client service teams in the development of their pursuit strategy, serving as a strategic advisor throughout the pursuit lifecycle
  • Act as the central point of contact in project managing the end-to-end proposal process
  • Organize / schedule kickoff meetings
  • Develop timelines and accountabilities as per deadlines
  • Help identify benefits and value-add for clients, as well as win themes and key insights
  • Ensure completion of all administrative tasks (e.g., legal counsel review of terms & conditions, security requirements review, etc.)
  • Monitor pursuit teams’ proposal progress by supporting document reviews; advising the collection, assembly and distribution of draft materials; and participating in reviews of draft documents
  • Help identify and collaborate with subject matter expertise to procure relevant content and guidance
  • Undertake gap analyses and independently develop strategies to overcome them
  • Ensure that written submissions meet request for proposal requirements and are KPMG brand compliant
  • Identify and escalate any risks
  • Participate in internal team debriefs after proposal submission and support the external debrief program
  • Collaborate with lead partners and client service professionals to identify value propositions, establish benefits for the client, and develop winning bid themes
  • Assist in the preparation of meetings with clients/bidders and oral presentation materials
  • Work in collaboration with other marketing functions (Research, Functional, and Segment marketing, etc.) to develop appropriate strategies and achieve objectives effectively
  • Assess feedback to continuously improve account support and proposal development approaches
  • Play an active role in the Regional Marketing team and the national pursuits community
  • Oversee the quality process and coordinate support services (creative and publishing services, digital and print services, as well as customer service)
What You Bring To The Role
  • Strong experience writing proposals and/or content for B2B audiences, project management skills, and attention to detail
  • University Degree or College Diploma in an area related to English, writing, communications
  • Experience working in an advertising or design agency is an asset
  • Understanding of business development processes and methodologies
  • Capacity to work effectively with strict deadlines
  • Quick study and self-starter capable of working with little day-to-day supervision
  • Excellent coordination skills to manage multiple disparate projects through completion
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively and proactively with a wide range of professionals at every level of the organization
  • Flexible and agile with a can-do attitude
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to create and modify styles in Word and PowerPoint
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to understand and learn new digital platforms quickly to support evolving client needs
