We are 15,000 projects and counting – improving lives and helping shape the growth of sustainable, progressive and inclusive communities.Your RoleIn this role, you’ll join our team of experts who lead major capital building and infrastructure projects. Working with Indigenous communities across all of Northern Ontario, our team gets to be part of bringing meaningful change by assisting communities gain access to housing, education and healthcare where people live, as well as delivering clean drinking water, and fostering opportunities for economic participation and environmental stewardship.Responsibilities
  • You’ve completed a number of projects, varying in size and scope in the public sector relating to educational, municipal or other institutional buildings, facilities, healthcare, and essential infrastructure
  • Your clients trust you and rely on your knowledge, skills and expertise to achieve their business goals and objectives
  • Your clients are impressed with your ability to represent their best interests regarding contractual and technical issues
  • Your project teams rely on your ability to manage change, communicate and coordinate between multiple stakeholders, resolve issues, and deliver projects on time and on budget
  • You maintain contact with existing and prospective clients and respond to business development and sales opportunities with support from the Business Development Team, Principal or Regional Vice President
Qualifications
  • A university or college degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management or quantity surveying (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)
  • At least 5 to 10 years of experience in project coordination and management
  • Strong knowledge of various construction methodologies, project management models and financial management, as well as building codes, contract law and relevant legislation
  • Professional industry credentials such as PMP, E.I.T/P.Eng., CET, Registered Architect or other similar industry recognized designation is considered a strong asset
  • A positive attitude and the ability to collaborate with local and regional teams
  • A strong sense of community and involvement in local community boards and associations
  • Previous experience working collaboratively with Local Governments and First Nations is considered a strong asset
