Reporting to the Executive Lead, Mobile Operation, the Program Lead, CNIB Mobile Hub will play key role within the Mobile Hub Team. The Program Lead will be responsible for the execution of the day to day on/off site operations of the CNIB Mobile Hub throughout Southwestern Ontario. The role includes, and is not limited to, maintaining of program budget, securing Mobile Hub locations, confirming staff schedules and assisting with funding opportunities. An understanding of Smart Life products, the set up and tear down of Mobile Hub space, training and supporting of volunteers and preforming activities to support program leads. Continually engagement with community partners and booking of travel. Extensive monthly travel is an integral part as the Program Lead will travel with the Hub Mobile.

Your impact at CNIB
  • Facilitates issues related to the Mobile Hub transport vehicle, coordinates repairs and maintenance when needed.
  • Participates in ongoing training and follows health and safety protocols.
  • Develops program needs checklist with the support of program staff
  • Identifies and prepares an inventory of supplies of Smart Life products, for purpose of purchase.
  • Supports on location set up of the Mobile Hub to ensure connection to internet to support on site technology.
  • Collaborates with a team that includes CNIB Foundation staff, volunteers, and other partners.
  • Participates in public relations activities including liaising with local service clubs, volunteers, and the public.
  • Supports and actively provides orientation and training to volunteers, and community partners working within the program.
  • Provides ongoing feedback for continuous quality improvement of the programming.
  • Completes various administrative duties as required room bookings, hotel bookings, town evaluations, point of sale reconciliation, Sales Force data entry.
  • Develop and steward strong and effective partnerships with community organizations, including Vision Loss Rehabilitation, that are aligned to and/or can help further our mission, including other service delivery organizations, funding agencies, etc.
  • Work closely with CNIB’s Philanthropy team to maximize donor investment in CNIB’s Mobile Hub– providing information and support for various types of appeals and impact reports and liaising directly with prospective and existing donors to secure.
  • Act as a key local ambassador for CNIB, representing and promoting the organization at all relevant external events.

Who you are
  • Possesses skills related to facilitating maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and technology.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Smart Life product knowledge.
We want to hear from you if you have
  • 3-5 years programming experience
  • Post-Secondary degree or certificate
  • Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset
  • Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset
Work Environment
  • Willingness to work flexible, non-regular hours to accommodate achievement of the program.
  • Willingness to work in different offices/spaces throughout Southwestern Ontario
  • Experience in comparable position within a non-profit, voluntary organization an asset.
  • Extensive ongoing travel through Southwestern Ontario, year round.
