Job Description

As an Oracle + NetSuite Product Manager for Cash Management, you will strategize and execute on the product roadmap as part of an exciting team in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. You will help evolve and drive our Financial Accounting and Cash Management functionality to globally support large and mid-sized businesses. Your responsibilities will include understanding customer needs, gathering and documenting requirements, and working with world-class product teams to design and deliver the features necessary to compete in the global ERP market. The ideal candidate will lead product definition and drive the product strategy to achieve long-term goals. This will include customer and market feedback, competitive analysis and business metrics that will guide product direction. In this role, you will help to define product vision including all aspects to future roadmaps, investment, innovation and experimentation. You will execute on product planning and development that includes meeting customer needs and business requirements for product release, ensuring implementation is aligned with product goals and requirements, and ownership of product positioning.

The role will be based in Kitchener, Ontario. The Kitchener-Waterloo area is Canada’s fastest growing market for high tech companies. Kitchener is a thriving tech hub that its growth is only second in North America, just behind Charlotte, NC.

The Successful Candidate Will Excel In The Following Areas

Deep Customer Understanding: passionately represent the voice of the customer to internal teams. Ensure that the team develops innovative product solutions that are grounded in customer insights to meet customers; demanding business needs and requirements

Product Strategy: manage and prioritize the product backlog by making smart, decisive trade-offs using data-driven analysis and sound judgment. Develop a deep understanding of the marketplace and competitive environment and contribute to a compelling product strategy.

Product Delivery: Drive the team’s execution of the product roadmap, including business cases, user stories, and design experience. Develop detailed product requirement documents that clearly articulate desired product functionality

Collaboration: Develop and Promote cohesive partnerships with product engineering, user experience design, user research, technical writers and other product teams to deliver great, innovative products to our customers.

Partnership: partner with Marketing, Sales, Professional Services and Support to successfully roll out our products and ensure a great end-to-end customer experience.

Communication: Proactively communicate your teams’ plans and accomplishments and ensure alignment with senior leadership

Business Growth: Own delivery of product improvements that delight customers and contribute to accelerated customer engagement

Agility: Strong bias for action; ability to manage multiple priorities and create a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Essential Skills
  • Leadership DNA - proven ability to set a vision, excite working closely with a cross-functional engineering team.
  • 5+ years of product management with preferred domain specific product experience.
  • Knowledge of cash management and bank reconciliation product required.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting business requirements for global, multi-entity companies preferred.
  • Strong organizational, project management, written and oral communication skills.
  • Comfort in high-level business discussions with internal and external executives.
  • Ability to lead and work autonomously. Self-starter who can work independently as well as with cross-functional team members in both local R&D office and across global offices.
  • Passion for and ability to understand customer needs and deliver solutions with a great user experience.
  • Capability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent (English) communication skills and the ability to clearly document product requirements/user stories.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies like Scrum, as well as design thinking processes are a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree (technical disciplines preferred).
  • MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • CPA or equivalent professional accounting certification is a plus.

Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will define product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
