Are you a Licensed Pharmacist practicing as an independent contractor interested in a 6 month contract role in St John’s, NL with a speciality pharmacy that offers unique pharmacy service delivery? We are supporting a client pharmacy in this area with their search for a Licensed Pharmacist who will join a well-established pharmacy team (tons of pharmacist overlap) and will focus on the delivery of service and patient care.

Shift times are scheduled in advance, and offer great work life balance being 8:30 to 4:30 Monday to Friday with no overnights or weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with the pharmacy board when delivering pharmacy service
  • Providing over the phone consultations to patients and other healthcare professionals on new medications, medical opinions, and specialty programs
  • Performing clinical checks of prescriptions
  • Supporting operations which may include staff supervision, assisting the team in day to day operations if needed including packaging, QA, data entry, adjudication, and more
  • Other duties as required to support patient care and service delivery

Qualifications

  • Licensed Pharmacist with the NLPB and in good standing as per the regulatory board
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for providing excellent service for all patients
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time-management skills
  • Kroll experience is mandatory
  • Bilingual in French is an asset
