Description

Robert Half has an excellent part-time Accounts Payable opportunity starting in September until end of this year. You will be helping out within a busy collaborative team and receiving mentorship from a great manager! This part-time (p/t) Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for process expense reports, accounts payable invoices in a multi-currency environment. The role will also be helping out with processing cheques as well as year-end audit. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Burnaby, British Columbia area and will be a long-term contract / temporary position.

Your responsibilities in this role

• Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
• Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
• Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail
• Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed
• Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies
• Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department
• Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned
  

Requirements

• Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Accounts Payable (AP) experience
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
• Comprehensive knowledge of ACCPAC or SAP
• Sage 300 experience preferred
• Adeptness in Lodging Expenses
• Deep understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
• Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
