Packaging Technical Writer (18 month contract)

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Packaging Technical Writer (18 month contract), for the Guelph, ON site.

Responsibilities:

• Under mentorship of the Packaging Supervisors, Packaging Specialist, and/or Business Unit Managers:
• Document non-conformances and corrective/preventive actions within the EtQ Symphony system. •
• Draft procedures and protocols for testing in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts in compliance with industry standards
• Update any internal documents (SOPS, OJTs) based on agreed upon actions and route for approval.
• Assist in monitoring corrective/preventative measures to confirm effectiveness.
• Participate in other projects/initiatives as assigned.
• You are eager and willing to participate in other projects/initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

• A University degree in Science or Engineering.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

• Proven excellent technical writing skills, preparing and presenting documents for Supervisory/Management review.
• Intermediate experience Microsoft Suite of applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) will be used daily.
• Thrive in a team-based environment and able to work diligently to meet commitments
• Able to prioritize tasks and work with your leaders and team to effectively prioritize your work.
• Strong problem-solving skills, willing to dig deep to understand underlying issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:

• Strong interest in a career in the pharmaceutical, consumer health care or life sciences field.
• Prior experience in a Quality Manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience with statistical analysis is an asset.
