Oracle ERP Technical Lead


Work you’ll do


As a Gold-level member of the Oracle Partner Network and an Oracle Cloud Excellence Implementer (CEI), Cloudworks needs thought leaders like yourself to help pave the way for our clients and our Cloud service line development. For our clients, our Oracle Cloud professionals reduce cost and support innovation at the enterprise level by managing business requirements and leading the functional design, prototyping, and process design stages of Oracle Cloud implementations. Responsibilities will include:


  • Client Management: Manage day‑to‑day interactions with executive clients, sponsors, project managers, and team members
  • Delivery: Manage and deliver components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement technology and creative business solutions for large companies. Responsibilities include, among others, identification of business requirements, functional design, process design, prototyping, testing, training, and providing post-go-live support.
  • Business Development: Develop and maintain contact with decision makers at key clients; participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process; contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies.
  • Eminence: Develop thought leadership to share insights and points of view with existing and potential clients.

Qualifications


For this role, we are looking for candidates who are able to:


  • Act as the Technical Lead on Oracle ERP Cloud implementation projects, providing direction as the subject matter expert
  • Lead the project team members responsible for developing reports, data conversion programs, integrations, and application extensions to ensure quality of work and deadlines are met
  • Effectively communicate and lead technical project deliverables for Oracle ERP Cloud
  • Work with the Cloud Implementation Project Manager to plan and schedule all technical development activities to meet defined scope and milestones
  • Understand deeply technical conversations and problems, contribute to solving both technical and non-technical operational issues
  • Monitor development progress and report status, issues, and risks to the Project Manager
  • Develop and lead a detailed technical deployment cutover plan
  • Work with functional resources to ensure that integration and conversion activities are completed successfully
  • Identify and lead new business opportunities to grow our Technical practice
  • Continually improve implementation methodology for Oracle ERP Cloud projects by sharing knowledge with team members
  • Assess impacts of Oracle’s quarterly product release to the implementation schedule and communicate appropriately internally as well as to the customer
  • Enjoys working in a close, highly energized, team-oriented environment
  • Complete tasks efficiently and in a timely manner

Required


  • Oracle Cloud ERP Processes and System knowledge
  • Experience leading technical work streams for Oracle ERP Cloud Global Implementations
  • Minimum of two (2) successfully delivered ERP Cloud Projects in the ERP Technical Lead role
  • Proficient on Microsoft Office Tools, specifically PowerPoint, Project, and Excel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work with executive leaders
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience implementing some combination of Oracle ERP modules such as General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Management, and Procurement
  • Experience with building integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud.
  • Experience reporting to senior client contacts, managing client teams, in addition to on and offsite, and offshore functional and technical teams
  • Must have experience collaborating with clients on business process enhancements
  • Limited Travel Required (Project Milestone Travel)
  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred


  • Lead experience on complex, international, multi-currency, and multi-organization implementations
  • 5+ years of consulting experience, which includes contributing to requests for proposals (RFP), client presentations, detailing the scope of work (SOW)
  • Experience with PaaS tools (OAC, Visual Builder, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments within a structured implementation methodology
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Commitment to gaining exposure in multiple industries
  • An advanced degree or certification in the area of specialization

Our offices are in Toronto, Mississauga, and Calgary, but we are open to candidates from across Canada and the U.S.A. as we give our staff the flexibility to work remotely.
