Job Description: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Reporting to: Clinic Leader
MyHealth is looking for a skilled and certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist who will be responsible for performing Nuclear Medicine procedures on Bone, brain, thyroid, liver, spleen, hepatobiliary, renal scans and lung. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist position is available for part-time, and casual work as well. We are looking for Nuclear Medicine Technologists to work at any our clinics located in Sarnia, Simcoe, Sudbury, Mississauga and Brampton ON.

Responsibilities:
Preparation:
- Ensure patient identification, safety and preparation procedures are correct before starting nuclear medicine
- Ensure relevant patient history is
- Inform supervisor, or designated person, of unusual or abnormal cases.
- Set up and adjust nuclear medicine equipment, maintaining established
- Monitor supplies and notify supervisor of
Performance of Nuclear Medicine Procedures:
- Radio pharmaceutical preparation and quality
- Bone, brain, thyroid, liver, spleen, hepatobiliary, renal scans and
- I131 thyroid treatments, Bone Densitometry
- Gallium scans, RBC liver/spleen
- Venograms, dacrocystograms and testicular
- Rest and stress MUGA’s.
Quality Control
- Ensure (and monitor) all quality control assessments are performed as
Equipment Maintenance
- Observe and report all malfunctions in nuclear medicine
- Follow manufacturer’s guidelines for operation, maintenance and minor trouble
Reporting
- Sign all required
- Ensure all abnormal and urgent cases are handled as outlined in departmental guidelines.
Safety
- Clean, tidy and disinfect nuclear medicine equipment and change
- Follow established health and safety
Regulations
- Comply with all Company and Government
- Maintain continuing CMRTO registration and medical educational requirements necessary for ongoing
Other
- Under direction of the supervisor/clinic manager, assists other staff members when workload is
- Perform other duties as assigned by
- Rest and Stress myocardial
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:
- Current and valid Certificate of Registration with the Association of Medical Radiation Technologists of the relevant
- Knowledge and proficiency in general nuclear medicine
- Maintain current CPR and First Aid
- Maintain competence in position by attending staff
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, good command of the English language and excellent communication
- Ability to work varying shifts and ability to work independently as well as part of a
- Self-evaluate performance, establish personal objectives and participate in yearly staff performance
