Our Asset Integrity Management Team in St. John’s, NL is now looking to add to our pool of NDT Technicans to support adhoc work scopes both onshore and offshore.

What will you be doing?
  • Conducting inspection activities in accordance with approved inspection plans, internal procedures, and regulatory guidelines in onshore and offshore industrial environments
  • Producing detailed reports of inspections, clearly identifying the scope and any defects or inconsistencies found
  • Assisting in the inspection and replacement of equipment, as well as other logistical tasks associated with maintaining a sound state of readiness of installations
  • Ensuring operational safety of all NDT equipment through regular inspection and calibration
  • Complying with safe work practices and procedures in accordance with industry standards, location and required scope of work
We Think You Should Have
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a field inspection technician
  • Level I and/or II certification in MT, PT, UT, or RT disciplines of Non Destructive Testing in accordance with CAN/CGSB-48.9712-2014 or equivalent standard
  • Level I certification in ET discipline of Non Destructive Testing in accordance with CAN/CGSB-48.9712-2014 or equivalent standard is an asset
  • Certification as a Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission Certified Exposure Device Operator is an asset
  • Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices
  • Exposure to industrial working conditions and various operational environments including Offshore Assets, Drilling and Production Facilities
  • Familiarity with permit to work systems and processes, ideally in an offshore environment
  • Rigging training, EVITA, LEEA or other lifting equipment inspection ceritfication, and skilled trade qualifications (pipefitting, electrician, instrumentation, insulating, etc.) are considered an asset
  • Must successfully complete mandatory safety training, drug and alcohol screening, medical, and meet all qualifications required for work and travel offshore
  • Valid certificates in all regulatory training requirements is a pre-requisite to employement
