Role Summary:

An opportunity for a science graduate to learn the career of medical copywriting in a pharmaceutical Agency in both the promotion and education space.

The Medical Copywriter Intern is a technical copywriter with a strong attention to detail, competency in medical science and copywriting skills, allowing him or her to simplify complex information and present it in a compelling manner.

Medical Writers at OH capture in-depth knowledge of the therapeutic areas both in a technical and scientific fashion, and maintaining a deep understanding of trends and healthcare professional (HCP) motivation.

The Opportunity:

This position is a 3- to 4-month full-time internship opportunity, offering a position to learn and grow within the industry and agency environment.

Responsibilities / Responsabilités:
Principal Responsibilities

  • Assisting the team in developing high-quality clinical and promotional documents while demonstrating a good grasp of scientific and medical content.
  • Preparing renewals of existing materials with updates to sourcing, sign offs, qualifiers etc.
  • Reviewing content to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Proofreading documents

Daily Tasks:

  • Completing medical writing projects on time and on budget while adhering to regulatory standards (PAAB, ASC, Company Standard Operating Procedures, client standards, and Company and/or client-approved template with support from the writing team
  • Maintaining document history and managing version control of documents by following the OH process. .
  • Serving as a peer reviewer during internal reviews and participating in brainstorms and ideation sessions.
  • Reviewing statistical analysis plans and table/figure/listing specifications for appropriate content and for grammar, format, and consistency.

Minimum Requirements:
A minimum of 1-year of related education or work experience is required, along with an interest in the Canadian healthcare field. Relevant areas of study include Health Sciences (last year of University or recent graduate).
This role is a full-time opportunity (remote for the moment), and would require 35-40 hours of commitment each week during the internship.
