The Mechanical Project Manager is responsible for managing labour cost, equipment, material procurement/scheduling, completing professional construction documentation and communication between the field and the client as representation for the contractor.

Responsibilities:

• Project scheduling including coordinating deliveries of materials and equipment;
• Procuring necessary sub trades and tracking all project labor costs;
• Managing project communications with clients;
• Liaising between clients, field employees and sub trades;
• Overseeing project paperwork including RFIs, Change Notices and Site Instructions;
• Reviewing and preparing contract documents;
• Reviewing Work in Progress (WIP) reports, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and maintaining positive cash flows;
• Conducting Project Audits or post-completion investigations into projects to determine strengths, weaknesses, successes and failures;
• Other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years’ experience coordinating commercial or industrial mechanical building systems projects, in either an office or field role;
• A HVAC background and knowledge of construction terminology, drawings, specifications;
• Familiarity with project management techniques and tools;
• Experience with Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel and Project;
• An ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in priorities
• Attention to detail to avoid oversights while managing multiple concurrent projects;
• Superior written and verbal communication skills with an ability to give clear and concise instructions;
• Extensive experience in a team-oriented, collaborative environment;
• An ability to meet tight deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
